DrDatta_AIIMS · x · 2026-07-15

The Koita Centre at Ashoka University is recruiting a Senior Research Fellow for a medical imaging foundation model project.

Funded by DST, the project collaborates with the National University of Singapore and is supported by ASTAR. Starting with chest X-rays, the initiative focuses on building large-scale datasets with demographic distributions better suited for Indian populations. The role centers on data pipeline and governance, encompassing image data ingestion, de-identification, storage, DICOM standardization, quality control, data versioning, and overall governance, requiring close collaboration with clinical partners in India and the modeling team at NUS.

The position is full-time and on-site, offering opportunities to attend international conferences and a fully funded visit to Singapore. If the research eventually spins off into a startup, the candidate may also take on a founding role.
