Apple Intelligence Passes Chinese Regulatory Filing

A recent announcement from the Cyberspace Administration of China indicates that "Apple Intelligence" has officially passed the generative AI service filing, marking a crucial step for compliance for the Chinese version of Apple Intelligence.
The report notes that six other on-device smartphone models were approved alongside it: Huawei's Xiaoyan AI, OPPO's AndesGPT, vivo's BlueLM, Xiaomi's Pengpai AI, Samsung's Galaxy AI, and Nubia's Doubao mobile model.
Specifically, Alibaba revealed that Qwen will be integrated into Apple Intelligence to provide text and image understanding, content generation, and other capabilities for Chinese users across iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and visionOS. However, the exact launch date and feature completeness remain unconfirmed, pending the final system updates.
