anselm · x · 2026-07-15
The Google team has open-sourced GNM, a parametric statistical 3D human head model.
Key highlights:
- Learned from large-scale 3D scan data
- Allows fine-grained control over identity features, comprising 170 head components and 80 dental components
- Also enables control over expressions (383 components, range -3 to +3) and head pose
The post includes a link to the dataset and mentions that more similar releases will follow.
