New Berkeley Faculty & World Model Research

The researcher announced they will join UC Berkeley as an assistant professor in summer 2027, affiliated with UCB Statistics and Berkeley EECS.
Prior to this, they will serve as a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard Data and MIT in the Boston area, and plans to start recruiting PhD students in fall 2027. Their research focuses on: building methods to test and improve the implicit world models of AI systems, making them better align with reality and human understanding.
