NVIDIA Teaches How to Fine-Tune Cosmos 3 with TAO
NVIDIA Developer · youtube · 2026-07-15
NVIDIA released a tutorial demonstrating how to perform post-training on Cosmos 3 using TAO 7 Agent Skills.
Key highlights include:
- Installing and configuring TAO skills into Codex
- Using natural language to drive domain fine-tuning for VLMs
- Applying LoRA for fine-tuning and utilizing AutoML for automated hyperparameter search
- Generating experiment reports and automatically optimizing results
NVIDIA also emphasized that Cosmos 3 is an open-world inference VLM designed for physical AI, unifying text, image, video, audio, and actions. Compared to full-parameter SFT, LoRA is significantly more resource-efficient on video data, requiring roughly 7x fewer GPU hours while better preserving general knowledge.
