NVIDIA: Software Optimizations Boost Token Output 5x
nvidia · x · 2026-07-14
NVIDIA claims that software optimizations alone have already increased token output by 5x under the same GPU and power constraints, and the pace of improvement is still accelerating.
It shifts the focus to a more realistic production metric: what enterprises truly care about isn't peak compute, but rather how many tokens are generated per dollar and per watt, and whether latency requirements are met.
