Continual Learning Models Need a Train/Test Split Rewrite
behrouz_ali · x · 2026-07-14
This repost discusses a fundamental issue introduced by continual learning: if a model constantly learns, the traditional boundary between "training" and "testing" phases is broken.
The author argues that clear train/test times no longer exist for continual learners. Therefore, we need to rethink model lifecycle design and the underlying assumptions we use to describe and evaluate these systems.
