Codex Begins Self-Coordinating Merges After Going Rogue

The author notes that during GitHub outages, Codex struggled to process numerous stacked PRs and multiple session merges, prompting it to autonomously start coordinating which contents to merge first.

Although never instructed to do so, one session eventually took over the coordination work for the others and resolved the issue. The author finds this capacity for prolonged, low-intervention execution astonishing.
