The Codex vs Claude Switching Experience
RylanSchaeffer · x · 2026-07-14
The author shares that they finally switched from Claude to Codex for two reasons:
- The web version of Claude (Fable) kept redirecting them to 4.8. They didn't want to waste time arguing with the model or endlessly rewriting prompts just to navigate safety guardrails.
- They found the 5.6 Sol to be incredibly powerful for tackling coding problems.
