These Are the Directions to Watch for AI's Impact
mattbeane · x · 2026-07-14
The author argues that if we view robotics as the next frontier of AI's impact, we shouldn't focus on humanoid robots, but rather bet on more practical systems:
- Factories that can be retrofitted in days rather than months
- Autonomous human/cargo transport systems, such as the Waymo route
- Chemical, biological, and pharmaceutical systems to accelerate R&D and production
They also added that materials, supply chains, and demand gen are all worth watching.
