AI Leaders and Economists Urge Focus on Pace of AI Capabilities

Economists, alongside numerous AI industry leaders and policy experts, have co-signed an open letter. The letter emphasizes severe concerns within the industry regarding the current pace of AI capability development and its potential impacts, noting that governments and large organizations suffer from a obvious cognitive lag and misunderstanding regarding the rapid evolution of AI technology.
