IMO 2026 and Model Progress in Math

IMO 2026 will take place on July 15–16. The author noted that last year, both OpenAI and Google achieved gold medal levels in this math competition, solving 5 out of 6 problems. Based on OpenAI's recent progress in math, the author believes their internal models have a chance to solve all 6 problems this year.
