OpenAI Adjusts Codex and ChatGPT Work Quotas
AniBaddepudi · x · 2026-07-13
Through inference optimizations, OpenAI is passing cost savings back to Codex and ChatGPT Work subscriptions, noting an approximate 10% increase in availability for GPT-5.6 Sol.
Additionally, the team rolled back the anomalous billing issues caused by raising the context limit from 272k to 372k, which will be gradually restored later. They also reverted experimental adjustments to reasoning effort (internally called "juice") and fixed a bug causing inflated multi-agent usage at high/ultra-high reasoning tiers.
