smol machines Adds Remote CUDA Support
ycombinator · x · 2026-07-13
smol machines has released v1.5.0:
- Added CUDA support via api-remoting, focusing on seamlessly switching workloads between local and remote GPUs. Once the .smolmachine file is pre-configured, almost no extra setup is required.
- The author notes that while this approach is experimental, it has the potential to further optimize local/remote inference and training deployments.
- Additionally, Windows 10/11 support has exited beta and is generally available, though it still lacks certain features like CUDA support.
