Responding to discussions about model tiering and pricing, this post suggests that if Anthropic continues down this path, they might counter by releasing a more token-efficient Fable 5.1 or simply cutting prices.
Replies also note that since they haven't been accelerating non-frontier models, using their second-best Anthropic model "wasn't really worth it" anyway.
