Live AGI Awareness Survey at ICML
nabla_theta · x · 2026-07-12
This thread shares on-site details from an AGI survey: In this year's ICML questionnaire, 76% (88 participants) understood the concept of AGI, up from 70% at last year's NeurIPS and 63% the year before.
The author noted some amusing response patterns: one attendee knew the Chinese translation but not the English term, a Korean speaker helped translate the questions, and the most absurd incorrect guess defined AGI as "AI generated information."
