Sharing a Token-Saving Codex Configuration
jiayuan_jy · x · 2026-07-12
This post shares a more usage-efficient Codex configuration:
- Model: 5.6 Sol.
- Effort: Extra High or Max; Speed: Standard.
- The author argues that Ultra mainly spawns multiple sub-agents, making it less practical. While Fast is effective, it consumes a massive amount of tokens.
With this setup, the author claims token consumption can be kept within a reasonable range, avoiding the scenario where Ultra + Fast quickly exhausts the 5-hour usage limit.
