Claude Status Monitor Project Open Sourced
lilweedbitch69 · reddit · 2026-07-12
The author released a desktop display project based on the LilyGo T-Display S3 Long, designed to show exactly what Claude Desktop / Claude Code is doing in real time. This includes the current model, tool call types (like Bash, Read, Percolating), duration, token usage, and context consumption.
The project supports clickable views for 5-hour and 7-day usage bars, displays orange alerts for sessions stuck waiting for user input, and allows custom logo uploads. The PC client runs as a standalone exe in the system tray with a live preview. The author also notes numerous hardware debugging pitfalls—such as unstable touch chip protocols in newer versions and shared reset pins for the LCD and touch controller—but the repository already includes documented workarounds.
