Developers point out that as AI coding agents can generate comprehensive, real-world tests at a low cost (instead of relying on mocks), outdated half-measures like static checks can be discarded. When agents can continuously read and sync with the codebase, code duplication is no longer an issue, requiring us to re-evaluate and upgrade existing engineering workflows.
