OpenBMB announced the winners of the Build Small Hackathon across two tracks.
- Thousand-Token Wood Track:
- 🥇 grandpa’s bedtime stories: AR bedtime stories using an Omni-modal model, $2500 prize
- 🥈 Aether Garden: AI fantasy world character summoning using MiniCPM, $1500 prize
- 🥉 Tianwen: Chinese astrology app based on MiniCPM5-1B, $1000 prize
- Backyard AI Track:
- 🥇 Viva Mais AI: Fully local WhatsApp travel CRM using MiniCPM text and vision models, $2500 prize
- 🥈 Aranya: AI plant identification and diagnosis using MiniCPM-V 4.6, $1500 prize
- 🥉 WanderLust: Offline AI route assistant using MiniCPM5-1B, $1000 prize
These projects primarily showcase practical applications in local AI, lightweight multimodal apps, and creative AI experiences.
