The author corrected their chart: the Ultra / Max labels were mismatched, and the correct mapping is Ultra = Max, with the same logic applying to other tiers.
They noted that the data comes from the Artificial Analysis Coding Agent Index. Based on the chart's conclusions:
- If you don't need the extreme performance of Terra Ultra, it's generally more cost-effective to use Luna models with higher effort settings, achieving the same or better results at a lower price.
- Tiers below Sol High can basically be ignored; just use Luna + higher effort.
- You can also skip straight from Sol Extra High to Terra Ultra.
- The extra cost of Sol Ultra is likely not worth the marginal improvement over Max.
