Cognitive Bypass in Generative AI Design

When generative AI is involved in the design process, designers may experience a cognitive bypass: people stop thinking actively and directly accept AI outputs.
A mitigation strategy proposed in the talk is introducing "helpful friction" into the workflow, ensuring designers still maintain:
- Decision-making authority
- Critical judgment
- Accountability for the final results
