Exec Predicts Rapid Cost Drop and Local Deployment for Models

Arav Srinivas believes it is highly likely that within the next **6 months**, we will see a "high-quality model like Fable 5 but 3-4 times cheaper." He also sees a greater than 50% chance that within **12 months**, a model "close to Opus 4.8 levels and capable of running on local devices" will emerge.\n\nHis main point is that when making future predictions, we shouldn't underestimate the pace of improvement in model capabilities and cost reduction.
