AI Value Won't Necessarily Belong Only to Corporations

Quoting Jason Crawford: When AI becomes incredibly valuable, it won't necessarily result in a scenario where "one company controls everything."
He draws an analogy to electricity, engines, and mechanization: these general-purpose technologies eventually became widely distributed and embedded into the economy and society, rather than concentrating all the value in the hands of technology suppliers. Therefore, AI might also trend toward commoditization, and its value may not solely belong to AI companies.
