Codex Sandbox's .git Directory Sparks Controversy

Someone reported that the Codex team creates a new empty read-only .git/ directory on each sandbox operation, breaking many existing toolchains.
The author explicitly states this "causes an incredible number of tool failures" and hopes the team will stop, as it heavily impacts development workflows.
