OpenCode 2.0 Beta Now Live
zeeg · x · 2026-07-11
OpenCode 2.0 is now in beta, and the developer warns that data will be reset in this version:
- The database is stored separately and may be wiped
- Many features remain unstable
- Legacy v1 plugins are incompatible
- The v2 API is not yet finalized
- A built-in skill allows the system to handle "almost anything"
The key highlight is a shift toward a skill-based, plugin-driven coding/agent workflow, though the API and ecosystem are currently still in a volatile stage.
