UAE Secures License-Free Path for Advanced AI GPUs
pstAsiatech · x · 2026-07-11
This update mentions that the rules remove the UAE from EAR's D:3 and D:4 country groups and expand the available Strategic Trade Authorization. Consequently, the UAE becomes the only country placed in A:5 without joining relevant multilateral export control regimes.
The post also points out that while this change grants approved UAE and US entities license-free access to advanced GPUs, it does not equate to a blanket waiver for all data center operators.
