Jürgen Schmidhuber argues that excelling only behind a screen doesn't qualify as AGI: even if it can play chess or pass the Turing test, without mastering the real world, it's just an "advanced text editor."

He further notes that creating robot hands with human-like strength and dexterity may take many years, even decades.
