Tencent Eyes Majority Stake in Manus at $2B Valuation
The Decoder · rss · 2026-07-11
According to the Financial Times, Tencent is in talks to acquire a majority stake in AI agent startup Manus at a $2 billion valuation.
Reports indicate this move follows Beijing's block of a related acquisition by Meta. Tencent is interested in Manus due to its overlap with their own agent initiatives, particularly applications for WeChat. US firm Benchmark is reportedly not participating in the deal.
