Codex Sol Flagged for Abnormal Token Consumption
ssh4net · x · 2026-07-10
Users are reporting abnormal behavior with Codex Sol: it not only generates excess output, but its token consumption in C++ coding scenarios far exceeds expectations. Usage spiked to around 450 million tokens vs 150 million tokens, a 3x increase.
The poster noted that even after switching to the Medium tier, the consumption remained unusually fast, describing the behavior as broken.
