OpenAI Launches GPT-5.6 and New Agent ChatGPT Work

Following government approval, OpenAI has officially released the GPT-5.6 model to the public, with CEO Sam Altman calling it the best model to date. On the same day, the company also launched a new AI Agent named ChatGPT Work. Combining the capabilities of ChatGPT and Codex, this product is designed to empower non-technical users to handle non-programming tasks, powered by the GPT-5.6 model suite.
