Slowing Down the AGI Timeline Remains Necessary

This reply suggests that if secret projects eventually catch up to coordinated AI development systems, the outcome could be worse than an ASI takeoff in the late 2030s and a handover in 2040. The author believes efforts should be made to push this timeline back.
