GPT-5.6 Demos Codex Building a Game
OpenAI · youtube · 2026-07-10
OpenAI demonstrated GPT-5.6 in Codex building a playable space-themed card game. Starting from a short open-ended prompt, the model completed core mechanics, generated custom art, added levels and soundtrack, and iteratively improved after testing.
The demo also showcased programmatic tool calls, Max Reasoning, and subagents helping handle longer tasks: processing tool results in a sandbox, splitting work in parallel, and integrating outputs into a complete product.
