IMGNet Tackles Face Verification with Symbolic Patterns
img-_- · reddit · 2026-07-10
An independent researcher introduced IMGNet, a face verification model that replaces cosine similarity with sliding-window symbolic pattern matching. The author claims the model achieves 96.27% accuracy on LFW with a size of 10.58MB. When applied directly to ArcFace embeddings, the IMG Sign Score reaches 99.58% on LFW, closely matching ArcFace+Cosine.
