OpenAI Takes First Step to Merge ChatGPT and Codex

OpenAI noted that this is the first step in genuinely integrating the ChatGPT and Codex experiences. About five months after the Codex app launched and saw widespread internal use at OpenAI, the team is now rolling it out to more users and plans to unify the experience across the web, mobile, and desktop platforms.
