OpenAI announced that GPT-5.6 is rolling out today across ChatGPT, Codex, and the OpenAI API. A phased global rollout has begun and will gradually reach all users within the next 24 hours.
In ChatGPT, Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise users can utilize GPT-5.6 Sol at medium and above effort settings. Pro and Enterprise users also have the option to select GPT-5.6 Pro for high-quality outputs on more complex tasks. The official update stresses its improved quality on editable deliverables like presentations, documents, and spreadsheets, making it highly suitable for integrating with templates and exporting to professional tools for further editing.
