Meta Plans Massive Compute Expansion

Sources indicate that Meta plans to deploy 7GW of computing infrastructure this year, with expectations to double that figure next year. An internal memo also revealed that the company has signed long-term memory agreements with Samsung and SanDisk, alongside a long-term fiber optic agreement with Sumitomo Electric.
Furthermore, the post claims Meta's capital expenditure could reach up to $145 billion this year, with plans to release a new chip every six months through 2027.
