With recent moves from companies like xAI and OpenAI, major AI labs are clearly shifting from value-based competition to cost-based competition. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg criticized other labs for their excessively high pricing and massive profit margins, stating that Meta is capable of delivering frontier or advanced intelligence at a much more affordable price. This signals the beginning of an epic pricing war in the agent model space.
