Compute SDK Adds Cloud Run Sandbox Support
steren · x · 2026-07-10
@ComputeSDK has added support for Cloud Run sandboxes, a vendor-agnostic SDK for running sandboxes. The Cloud Run sandbox is a lightweight, isolated execution environment that can be spawned almost instantly within existing Cloud Run instances.
The sandbox defaults to a zero-trust architecture, providing credential and environment isolation along with locked-down network egress. In official benchmarks, the Cloud Run sandbox performed excellently—starting, executing, and stopping 1,000 sandboxes in 5 seconds with an average latency of just 500 milliseconds.
