SubChat Adds Sidebar Follow-up Questions to Claude
chunkybublegum · reddit · 2026-07-09
The author found that when learning with Claude, wanting to ask follow-up questions about confusing parts often clutters the main chat's context, prompting them to build SubChat.
SubChat lets users highlight a specific part of Claude's reply and open an independent mini-chat in the sidebar for further questions. It supports multiple independent side chats, streaming responses, draggable windows, and quick copying of answers or code. It runs directly on top of existing Claude sessions without requiring an extra API key, servers, analytics, or tracking.
