ChatGPT Voice Sounds More Human
Bob-the-Human · reddit · 2026-07-09
The author, who frequently chats with ChatGPT voice during commutes, recently noticed a clear upgrade in the new voice model: the tone feels more like a person thinking out loud, featuring more natural pauses, with pronunciation and vocal quality much closer to a real human.
However, the author noted the new voice's volume is lower, making it hard to hear in the car sometimes. Additionally, the previous ability to make it speak with a French or German accent seems to have been removed.
