ByteDance's Looped LM: Small Model Latent Reasoning Matches 12B

A study by ByteDance and Yoshua Bengio, "Scaling Latent Reasoning via Looped Language Models," introduces the Ouro series of looped language models (1.4B/2.6B). It claims that through latent space looped reasoning, these models can match SOTA LLMs of up to 12B parameters across multiple benchmarks.
