Gemini Managed Agents Update: Background Tasks and Remote MCP

Google has introduced two updates for Managed Agents in the Gemini API: first, background tasks, which allow launching long-running tasks that take minutes without needing to maintain a continuous client connection; second, remote MCP integration, enabling agents to communicate with external tools and simplifying timeout management for long-running agents.
