A paid Gemini Pro user reported a noticeable decline in search quality since the new 3.5 UI and model tier adjustments (replacing Lite/Thinking/Pro with Flash lite/Flash/Pro). The user stated they previously used it to retrieve known but misplaced information, even for book research; now, they have to ask questions repeatedly up to 8 times, with the model repeatedly making "confident mistakes." The user questioned whether the paid Pro tier has degraded to the level of standard Google Search.
