Why LiteLLM Didn't Become the OSS Integration Standard

Despite LiteLLM's existence, open-source projects are still flooded with individual integration PRs for various model providers. The author questions why it hasn't become the standard integration layer and proposes the need for a unified, OpenAI-compatible routing layer with a clear data scheme that all OSS projects can reuse to greatly simplify integration chaos.
