Humanoid Robot Atlas Steals the Show at World Cup Halftime
FinanceYF5 · x · 2026-07-07
During the World Cup Round of 16 match between Brazil and Norway, humanoid robot Atlas walked out of the player tunnel at halftime. It sequentially mimicked the signature celebration moves of four football stars: Son Heung-min, Kane, Cunha, and Haaland, before handing the ball to the referee to kick off the second half. This marks the first appearance of a humanoid robot in World Cup history.
