Tech Giants Embed FDEs to Streamline Processes and Cut Jobs
dfinke · x · 2026-07-07
Tech giants are adopting a new strategy by embedding Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) on-site at client companies. Instead of directly questioning employee value, they map business processes, capture tacit knowledge, and then let AI determine which roles are still necessary.
This model reflects how enterprise AI deployment is shifting from isolated point tools toward deep process restructuring and role reshaping.
