SAS Acts Like Process Supervision Without Human Trajectories

furongh · x · 2026-07-06

SAS functions similarly to process supervision on diffusion language models, but without the need for human-written reasoning trajectories. Instead of just rewarding the final answer, it provides dense feedback across the entire unmasking trajectory. This allows the model to learn a native curriculum: locking in helpful components early while deferring ambiguous ones.
