Gemini Agent Autonomously Analyzes JWST Data, Finds ~13.4B-Year-Old Galaxy

Over the weekend, @fofrAI used a Gemini 3.5 Flash agent with the Antigravity harness to identify a candidate ancient galaxy (13.4 billion years old) from raw JWST data (Candidate: redshift z=12.69, position RA 53.190502, Dec -27.749826).
The agent autonomously completed the following tasks: querying JADES survey GOODS-South data, applying the Lyman-break dropout technique, fetching data slices on-demand, filtering out brown dwarfs and low-redshift galaxies from 1,000 objects, and ultimately writing a paper. The entire process was fully automated. Although this galaxy had been previously discovered, the agent was completely unaware of it beforehand. The author published the paper gist.
This serves as a powerful demonstration of AI agents autonomously conducting scientific research (AI4Science).
