MIT EEG Study: ChatGPT Weakens Brain Connectivity in Writing

A MIT study equipped subjects writing essays with EEG devices, grouping them to use ChatGPT, a search engine, or no tools. Results showed that the group using ChatGPT exhibited the weakest brain connectivity and, minutes later, couldn't recall the essays they had just written, sparking discussions on the cognitive impacts of AI-assisted writing.
